What you will do?
Be responsible for managing commercialization activities of complex New Product Development projects.
Projects involve cross-functional departments, multiple design domain and service groups, and may span multiple global site locations.
Work closely with the Product Realization Team to develop project plan, budget, including required resources.
Manage delivery by independently and continuously assess project status and impeding risk, develop strategy, and take appropriate action to ensure project success.
Monitor adherence to timeline and upcoming milestones, applying course corrections or early escalation for potential of missing targets or pending impediments while meeting the needs and expectations of the customer (external and internal stakeholders).
Responsible for risk assessment and risk management, including change management. Expose risks early and often.
Assist the project team to achieve a high level of performance and quality. Hold participants accountable for their work, removing obstacles, and mentoring less experienced team members.
Facilitate various project activities, review meetings, planning, escalation, investigation/8D, proto build, and corrective actions. Provide leadership where any gaps exist.
Role will require intimate knowledge of New Product Development and other associated processes among other standards.
Responsible to develop and maintain effective project metrics (KPIs) and seek opportunities for improvement and implement lessons learned.
What you will bring?
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of fast paced environment experience after graduation; automotive/IATF industry preferred; including 2 years of project management responsibilities.
PMP or PMI-ACP certification
Experience defining and managing OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to influence to drive results and spur change, and hold multiple team members, including managers accountable.
Demonstrated high level of expertise, in-depth knowledge of project management, self-motivated, successfully leading projects/programs to on-time, on-schedule, on budget, within expectations.
Understands business strategy, processes, activities, expenses, profits and established goals/OKRs.
Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft D365/Project Operations, MS Project.
Additional preferred qualifications:
Knowledge and/or experience of IATF 16949 and/or aSPICE environments.
Experience with new product development projects and/or application engineering projects; experience from initial idea/requirements/concept development through to launch release and including applied lessons learned.
Knowledge of prototyping programme or testing.
Knowledge of common design project work products such as project plans, budget, requirements, SOR/SOW, DFMEA, DVPR, PFMEA, Control Plan, Configuration Item List, etc.
Previous experience in Agile methodology and/or products with embedded software/aSPICE.
Atlassian tools such as Jira and/or Polarion.
Problem Resolution Process and 8D methodology.
