In the role of Controls Engineer, you will participate in projects within a high performance team to develop world class EV products. You will apply your knowledge of advanced algorithms and embedded systems to enable high performance with low resource consumption. You will be challenged to research and implement state of the art algorithms and technologies, both traditionally developed and supported by ML and AI. You will be supporting control systems for external products and developing advanced internal testing. Your work will drive the creation of world leading BMS, Thermals systems, ADAS, signal processing and other technologies. You will also drive the development advanced testing capabilities. The Duties Include:

You will form part of the Controls and Electronics Team that is responsible for the development of electronics, software, and algorithm development at Litens for all new products and research initiatives.

You will be responsible for the design, validation, and deployment of controls and estimation algorithms on embedded systems, with a focus on, but not limited to, Electric Vehicle technologies.

You shall be encouraged to use advanced algorithms and concepts where traditional or classical methods do not meet performance requirements, or where development can be expedited by the adoption of new methods.

You will be tasked with writing and interpreting requirements, test-cases, and design specifications, in accordance with development activities.

You shall actively seek out, and advocate for, the latest trends and technologies in controls and estimation to bring leading edge technologies to the forefront at Litens.

What you will bring:

BSc in Electrical, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering, (MSc preferred).

Real-time controls and estimation:

Strong experience developing linear controllers (PID, state-feedback, etc.,).

Some experience developing estimation algorithms (Recursive Least Squares, Kalman Filter, sliding mode observers, etc.)

Experience designing algorithms and/or software from requirements

Bonus: experience developing non-linear and adaptive controllers.

Sliding Mode Control, Adaptive controllers, etc.

Strong preference for experience with Model-Predictive Control.

Experience working with state-space models for algorithm development.

Demonstrated experience with model-based algorithm development in Simulink or similar.

Bonus: Experience designing, training, testing, and deploying Machine Learning/Deep Learning models.

HiL experience is a plus.

Familiar with battery management systems, experience developing or researching one or more facets of a BMS strongly preferred.

Experience developing technologies for ADAS stack.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills for multifaceted problems with limited oversight.

Good collaboration and communication skills related to presentation of technical information.
