Qualifications

Must have:

Strong creative skills in Adobe CS6/CC, HTML 5

Strong grasp of (Minimum 3 years’ experience): Instructional Design Methodologies; Adult Learning Principles; Bloom’s Taxonomy; Video /Sound; Instructor Led Facilitation

Experience managing multiple projects.

Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop (portfolio required):

Online courses and instructor led courses

Excellent grammatical and technical writing skills, attention to detail and organized,

Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.

An Insatiable thirst for knowledge and the ability to act with only 80% of the information when required

The ability to write well-defined objectives based on learner needs

The ability to gain stakeholder buy-in and influence decisions

A College Diploma (Training / Adult Education related) or University Degree ideally in Psychology, Education, Instructional Design or Communication

Nice to have:

Experience with LMS Software (e.g., WebCT, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle) as a course designer; Strong understanding of SCORM; proficiency in German, Portuguese or Mandarin

Your exceptional appreciation for Adult Learning Principles, blended learning approaches and instructor led facilitation is rivaled only by your proven ability to apply Bloom’s Taxonomy to educate (we’ll need to see proof of this in your portfolio).

You are comfortable designing in both the physical space (Instructor Led) to the virtual world in all of its various forms.

You should enjoy working with others to understand their requirements almost as much as blowing them away with your results. You excel at maintaining the balance between creativity and practicality.

The ability to write well-defined objectives based on both customer and learner needs comes naturally to you.

This position reports into the Manager People Development & Training where you will be the learning design lead on teams containing Subject Matter Experts.  Here you will ensure the proper content, quality, relevance and teaching points are encompassed while ensuring the team objectives align with the overall plan of People Development & Training.

Multi-tasking, Project Management skills and the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in to influence decisions are essential.
