Logistics Coordinator


Summary:

Responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight including local, long-haul, container and air shipments for components and finished goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Build daily schedule for local drivers including
    • Coordination and communication with all parties impacted by daily schedules
  • Responsible for generating e-manifests for cross-border shipments and ensuring loads are cleared prior to driver’s arrival at border crossings
  • Accountable for in-bound and out-bound inter-modal shipments with attention paid to demerge and detention costs
  • Manage container schedule
  • Review and correct / initiate request for correction of import / export invoices for parts loads, rush shipments for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Compile and submit quarterly International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) filings
  • Maintain accurate contact information in database for customer, logistic and/or container companies
  • Keep records of all daily driver log sheets (paper or digital)
  • Coordinate and schedule fleet maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Management Diploma and / or commensurate work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics planning and/or import/export
  • Truck and intermodal dispatch knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently with minimum supervision
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • High level of proficiency in related software skills including MS Office
  • Must be able to read and write in English and communicate clearly with others.
  • Focus on North American inbound and outbound freight movement
  • Schedule the pickup and delivery of containers from CN/CP rail
  • Maintain U.S. Run Customs Documentation in ACE and ACI
  • Submit daily filing of E-Manifest with Canada Border Security Agency (CBSA) and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
  • Record and maintain fuel management documentation
  • Record and maintain the input and output of fuel
  • Maintain knowledge of US and CBSA rules and regulations
