A degree in mechanical or materials engineering with more than two years of working experience.
2 years + experience with mechanical design in Automotive or similar field
Familiarity with ball bearings, seals, lubrication as well as common processes such as grinding, machining, heat treating, stamping, injection molding, etc. would be an asset
Strong problem solving skills and experience, (8D, 5 why, Design of experiments, etc.)
DVP&R and DFMEA,. strong emphasis on DFMEA
Strong communication skills – written and oral,
Experience with reading, producing and checking engineering models and drawings

Product Design Engineers are tasked with developing/improving Litens product lines with features attractive for new engine applications that are being designed by leading global automakers. This means that you will have responsibility for defining and validating the function, reliability, performance and manufacturability of next generation critical components.
You’ll be working on:
Engineering of Advanced Ball Bearings utilizing the latest in lubricants for coping with high temperatures, loads speeds
Working with suppliers to produce the necessary product to the appropriate standard
Validating the solution with broad engineering skills, for example; digital simulation, 3D CAD engine layouts, stress analysis, bench testing and vehicle testing.
Utilizing resources in supporting fields such as noise and vibration, materials science, testing, FEA/CAE, manufacturing, sales and others.
