Setup and Commission robots.
Wire, Connect and Properly Label all robots as per layout.
Generate Robot Programs according to sequence of operation.
Makes adjustments in Robotic program when required and participates in improving efficiency and cycle times.
Sets up robotic stations by operating/retrieving various computer programs stored in robotic equipment.
Communicates with PLC Programmer for handshaking / PLC Integration.
Considers safety and ergonomics as top priorities in all work performed.
Operates robotic equipment to achieve desired results.
Adjusts equipment and changes programs as necessary to ensure good quality parts.
Completes PLC back-ups (Mitsubishi / BIFAS / Allen Bradley).
Completes vision system back-ups and modifications.
Documents any required changes properly on the drawings and ensures PLC programs are commented.
Generates purchase order requisitions as required.
Work along side PLC Programmers to troubleshoot programs and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must possess an Electromechanical Engineering Technician / Technologist Diploma.
Must have 3 to 5 years experience with automated lines / assembly equipment.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and communications to Robot controls.
Must have basic computer skills
Ability to program Fanuc robots.
Robot simulation experience a plus.
