Mechatronics Engineer’s primary role is to work with a team to invent world leading automotive actuation products. A successful candidate will perform a variety of technical tasks to develop products including electronics and motor design, engine and vehicle testing, data analysis and evaluation, identifying products and systems performance related problem, and making recommendations for improvement and optimization.  This person will perform system simulations, vehicle tests, engine simulator tests.

Selecting the best existing motor/actuators as well designing new ones.

Design automotive compliant PCB’s and connectors in addition to selecting the BOM.

Design gear trains, levers and other mechanical systems.

Developing new products using engineering practices and state of the art CAE tools.

Providing reports on the status of development and the results of testing

Providing technical support and design input / suggestions to product engineers regarding areas of improvement identified from collaboration with other design teams.

Assisting in the development of next generation analytical tools for product development

Designing test methods for component and system performance and durability.

Performing rig, engine and vehicle testing.

Developing product solutions to complex technical issues based on design, material or process improvements.

You’ll need to have:

We are looking for education and 3+ years experience in electrical engineering/mechatronics, problem solving and analytical ability, and the willingness to work hard. This position will also allow you the opportunity for travel. 

In addition we have some similar opportunities that would suit a mechanical engineering technologist with experience.
