Plans, coordinates and directs the global warranty department to ensure quality of existing products and to improve the quality of future products. Develop and maintain a warranty management system with advanced capability that drives quality and product improvement through direct feedback from field performance. Formulate and maintain KPI’s related to corporate performance, investigate claims, champion warranty issues and coordinate related activities. Optimize processes related to the claims management system, the disposition and processing of data and the identification of trends. Represent the company at customers, ensure conformance to industry and corporate standards. Leads warranty analysts and technicians, effectively delegates and manages workflow, communicates with management.
Mechanical Engineering degree.
7 years plus automotive industry experience, including leadership of people and systems.
Familiar with automotive industry warranty procedures, standards and tools.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Solid knowledge of IATF 16949 and CQI-14 Warranty Management Guidelines; knowledge of OE standards and customer specific requirements.
Training in problem solving, six-sigma or other methodologies.
Background in Quality Assurance is an asset.
