Highlight: Coordination of Internal tool trials and PPAP runs for Launch projects for OEM/ aftermarket or Relocation/Transfer projects+ Coordination of PPAP submission from suppliers for Launch projects/transfer/changes for OEM/ aftermarket jobs.
Job description:
- Maintain Site Schedule Map with all TT/PPAP runs;
- Coordinates TT/PPAP production trial activities;
- Collaborate with all departments: manufacturing operations, quality, process engineering, logistic, project management to assure ON TIME / PPAP activities
- Document and Report results by maintaining an approvals tracker and a rejection tracker (with details information regarding the reason of rejection);
- Identification / assessment of customer requirements;
- Verification of product and / or process specific documents for completeness ;
- Able to perform internal audits in all plant areas and support preparation for customer audits;
- Prepare weekly build plan schedule and broadcasts to affected groups for planning purposes;
- Assist in troubleshooting activities online;
- Record and track outstanding issues generated during tool trial and PPAP builds, escalating issues to appropriate authority;
- Present relevant KPI’s at monthly management review meetings;
- Track event performance, actual build completion dates;
- Responding to team members’ concerns; coordinating requirements with interested departments and decision makers;
- Responsible to make sure Tooling Management is aligned with project’s commercial strategy;
- Maintains status of Suppliers APQP and take appropriate actions to ensure, quality and timing issues are resolved on timely basis;
- According to Project Timelines issues requests to suppliers for component PPAP’s;
- Communicates the status of supplier PPAP delivery dates with appropriate Litens departments;
- Maintains supplier tooling records and authorizes payment of tooling costs.
Knowledge Required:
- Industrial / Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma;
- Five years relevant work experience in automotive industry;
- Working knowledge of APQP process;
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications;
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Exceptional organizational skills combined with logical approach to problem solving;
- Well-developed people skills with a team building approach to resolving conflicts;
- Works well under pressure of deadlines and multiple priorities;
- Command of English, German is an advantage;
- Project Management experience;
- Working knowledge of core quality tools including PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA;
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including a strong understanding of GD&T.
